Ariel Schiff
CEO
AMANO Group
Ariel Schiff was born on 16.10.1965 in Berlin and grew up on the Costa Del Sol due to his parents‘ activities, who ran their club in the Spanish seaside resort of Marbella.
At a young age, he was allowed to immerse himself in the world of adults and assist the DJs behind the turntables by changing the records. At the age of 17, he returned to Germany with his family and attended a school in the west of Berlin, where he completed his high school diploma. His career began with an apprenticeship as a hotel specialist at the Steigenberger Hotel. Afterwards, the native Berliner began studying business administration. During this period he worked regularly in the hospitality industry and at the age of 22, he launched his own waiters‘ agency, with which he served event and catering companies among others.
After successfully graduating with a degree in business administration, Ariel Schiff joined a real estate company in Düsseldorf. After that, he promptly began postgraduate studies in Real estate economics at the European Business School and graduated with flying colours.
Then came the turning point: due to the insolvency of two hotels, Ariel Schiff had the opportunity to return to the hotel industry and took this chance. He renovated and operated the properties and had a successful breakthrough. From this point on and inspired by his many travels, he is gripped by the idea and motivation to bring hotels to life with a completely new approach in his home town, in Berlin. In 2009, he founded the Amano Group together with Artur Süsskind and took over the operational business as managing director.
By now, six boutique hotels in Berlin, as well as a hotel in Düsseldorf and Munich, are part of the group’s portfolio, which continues to grow. Upcoming projects in Berlin, Leipzig and London are already being planned. In his private life, the entrepreneur is married and has four children.
